Joplyn ist eine junge Songschreiberin, Produzentin und Sängerin aus Berlin mit deutschen, vietnamesischen und kanadischen Wurzeln. 2022 starteteJoplynihre Live-Performance mit einer Show im Village Underground London mit Maya Jane Coles und erhielt außerdem eine monatliche Ibiza-Residency im renommierten HI Ibiza Club, wo sie samstags die Legenden Damian Lazarus und Black Coffee unterstützt. Ihre Sommertournee wird sie zu verschiedenen Festivals und Shows in Deutschland, Griechenland, der Türkei, Rumänien, England, Spanien und Dubai führen, wo sie neben Künstlern wie: Rufus Du Sol, Monolink, Jan Blomqvist, Ben Böhmer auftritt. Außerdem wird sie im Sommer und Herbst eine Debüt-Tournee in den USA spielen.

„I Want To Believe“ ist die zweite Vorab-Single aus ihrem für November angekündigten neuen Album „Sant Jordi“.Joplynruft zur Dankbarkeit für den gegenwärtigen Moment auf und erinnert an die Vergänglichkeit des Lebens. Letztlich ist es ein Lied über die Hoffnung auf einen Weg zur Erlösung und die Gewissheit, dass das Gute immer überwiegen wird. “If words were our waters, I want to believe that it rained. If time was an open bid, I want to believe that I paid. And if sleep kept us wide awake, I want to believe that I dreamt. If trust was the end of the road, I want to remember the way…“. Der Song beginnt damit, dassJoplynden ersten Refrain singt, bevor der Beat und die Haupt-Synthie-Melodie einsetzen. Der melodische House-Groove baut sich mit atmosphärischen Vocal Chops weiter auf, bevor der Breakdown kommt, bei demJoplyndie Hook erneut singt und üppige Pads zu hören sind, bevor die Percussion und weitere Synthies die Rampe zum Höhepunkt des Songs hochfahren. Der Hauptbeat setzt wieder ein undJoplynsGesang klingt fast wie ein alter Stammesgesang, der uns alle aufmuntert. Der Track endet dann wieder mit der charakteristischen Synthie-Linie, die das starke Gefühl dieser Reise abrundet und den Hörer mit einem mysteriösen "Vocoder-Gesang" am Ende überrascht.
