On their debut album Time As A Frame, singer, composer, poet, and filmmaker Lisa Harres establishes themself as a deeply attentive and poetic voice, exploring a rich blend of sound and emotion. Recorded over two years with close collaborator and producer Ralph Heidel at Funkhaus Berlin, the album’s 9 songs and 3 interludes unfold in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Minimalist arrangements of piano, voice, guitar, and woodwinds are woven with orchestral textures and lyrical fragments in a free-flowing compositional style. Themes of friendship, solitude, love, and transformation echo throughout, often blurring the lines between the personal and the universal, the everyday and the mystical. The album is further expanded by Harres’ evocative music videos, which visually explore this same nuanced emotional terrain.
